Flash player 16.0.0.235 unresponsive on Firefox 34.0.5

I have installed the latest version of flash player (16.0.0.235) on firefox 34, however firefox disables the plugin automatically. If I activate it manually, then everytime I open a page with flash content (e.g youtube video) the cursor starts blinking with the busy circle and firefox becomes unresponsive until I close the tab with the flash content. Weirdly, youtube videos play even if the flash plugin is disabled (why?), however other flash content tells me I dont have flash player installed (I suppose because firefox disables it).

Have tried reinstalling both the flash player and firefox to no avail. Whats going on? OS: Windows 8

Thank you

Thanks.  We're aware of the issue and have it assigned to an engineer.  My hope is that we'll ship a fix for it soon.

That's a definitely possibility.  Feel free to file a bug over at http://bugzilla.mozilla.org with your crash report.

There are some stability issues that are unique to the intersection of Win8+ and Firefox.  They're on my radar and will hopefully be resolved in a future release.  In the meantime, both Internet Explorer and Google Chrome seem to be in pretty good shape.  I'd recommend using one or the other as a temporary workaround.

I'll just echo this problem. Firefox 34 and FlashPlayer 16 don't work well together. Any Flash content in Firefox automatically crashes. Platform is Windows 8.1. I'll also note that the Adobe Bugbase won't even let me login, which adds to the frustration level.
