Hello, I need urgent help.
I installed the latest FlashPlayer 9 on my PC. The player works perfect. But when I shutdown and open my PC
a lot of web sites don't show their animation and ask me tu upgrade my flashplayer ( but I have the latest player ).
I uninstall the player and install it again. But the problem goes on. When I turn off my pc and open it again the flash player dont work.
Please can anyone help me to solve this problem.

Same problem here...

Here's what I have come across so far...

XP Home / IE7 - no problems installing through the auto-update, no video issues

Vista Home Premium / IE7 - had to run the uninstall / install procedure, everything works fine after that

Vista Ultimate / IE7 - must run the uninstall / install procedure everytime I restart the computer in order for it to work

Any thoughts?

Add me to the list. Same problem and yes, Vista Ultimate and IE7. At first it also seemed to be uninstalling on firefox as well, but for some reason that's not happening anymore, just IE7.

hey everyone try doing this and it may fix all your problems with restarting your PC and having to reinstall your flashplayer.

don't worry about unstilling the older verison it.

so after you download it go to your start menu click on the search bar and type in "system32" then click on that folder. after that scroll down and look for a folder called "macromed" and click on it there will be a folder in that called "flash" click on that. then you will see a file that is called "FlashUtil9f" click on that. when you open the file it will ask you for permission to download it and of course you say yes. and after that is done downloading it will say to restart the computer for newer verison to be useable.( it will not restart on it's own you have to restart the computer.) and there you have it a working flash player.

and to put it in PC terms [computer >local disk(C:) >windows >system32 > micromed > flash >FlashUtil9f]

enjoy!

I have the same problem as described here. Vista, having to reinstall flash on every startup. problem occurs in IE and firefox. But here's a strange new twist. Youtube videos do not show on youtube.com but do work when embedded in another website - same for other flash videos. WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON? Someone please help with this problem as it is driving me insane. Thanks.

Just to add the weight of another body.... I am running Vista Home Premium. When Flash Player stops working, I have to uninstall it and then re-install it. It then works fine for websites... until I reboot then it stops working. Very frustrating and I haven' found any sort of workaround other than the uninstall-reinstall routine.

Later that same day...
After a bunch of experimenting and deadend leads, I have discovered that the problem is related to User Account Control (UAC). If you have it on, you have this problem (websites don't recognize Flash after a reboot). If you turn it off, the problem goes away. Of course this is not a perfect solution because UAC actually serves a purpose... other than to annoy you. I will post here again if I find a better solution.
Still later...
Well, you can decide if it's better or not, but the problem does not occur in Firefox 3 even when UAC is on.
