Flash Player for Mac OSX 10.5.8

New Here ,
Dec 22, 2011 Dec 22, 2011

I've been trying to find the right flash player to install on my mac osx 10.5.8 using safari. I can't play video on youtube or facebook because it says im missing plug-in. This issue keeps coming up. I have in the past few months uninstalled the version i had and installed an older version of flash 10.1 but then that stopped working a few days ago, and now nothing works. I have tried uninstalling old versions, and searched every forum about this but i cant find an answer.Does anybody have an answer to this issue?

Hi fabriziod16,

What does "not working" mean?  Is there a problem with installation or playback?

Hi fabriziod16,

Are you getting error 2046 in all Flash content, or just certain Flash content?  Can you provide some URLs that are returning error 2046?

Thank you.

Hi fabriziod16,

Sorry for not getting back to you.  This is still being investigated.  Are there other sites, besides www.chatroulette.com that you are seeing this behaviour on?  If so, please provide the URLs.

Thank you.

omegle.com and several websites where I tried to watch some videos. Can you tell me which is the last version of adobe flash player for MacOsX 10.5.8 . On another forum I have read that it might be a problem of expired certificates....

Thank you for your help!

LATEST

Hi fabriziod16,

Thanks for the additional information.

The last version of Flash Player for OS X 10.5.8 is 10.3.183.90. Expired certs has been a recent issue with SWZ files, however, 10.3.183.90 was released after the versions with the certs that have expired recently.  You can try clearing the LSO's to see if you have LSO's with expired certs in them (see Manage, disable Local Shared Objects | Flash Player‌).

If you're 10.5.8 system is Intel (not PPC) you may be able to upgrade to OS X 10.6 ($19.99 at the Apple store) which would enable you to install the latest version of Flash Player.  There is a lot of information on this on the web.
