Trying to install Adobe flash player on a mac 10.11.6. I have used adobe uninstall program and removed my old version because of this error that appears during the install process. That did not correct the problem and the trouble shooting tips on the website don't apply if the old product in not currently installed and the ones that do I have checked (password to allow download). Any ideas?

We'll need to review the installation log files to troubleshoot further. Please provide the following log files:
If you need assistance locating the files, please see Where do I find the Flash Player installation log on the Macintosh?
Upload the files to cloud.acrobat.com/send using the instructions at How to share a file using Adobe Document Cloud and post the link to the uploaded files in your reply.
Thank you.

Thank you very much for posting the log file contents. The failure is due to:
installer: Certificate used to sign package is not trusted. Use -allowUntrusted to override.
'installer' is an application included in OS X that extracts and installs software packages. This app is returning the error, not Flash Player, This error indicates a certificate issue on the system, not Flash Player installer itself. See https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1651963 and https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2424957 for assistance.
