flash player installation issues

Hi there,

I have purchased a new MacBook Air, have updated my OS, am using Safari and am trying to install flash player. When I have gone through the process of downloading and installing Flashplayer it seems to have loaded and when I go into system preferences on my computer it shows the latest version of flashplayer is updated.

But- when I try and go on photo editing app sites like pixlr or sumopaint they tell me to install flashplayer. I am unable to access images from my computer to edit in their apps and think this may be the problem so I do some more digging and am re-directed to the adobe site to the 'check if flashplayer is installed' page. When I click 'check' it says that flashplayer is NOT installed on my computer.

Please help. Ive been trying to figure this out for hours

Apple disables Flash Player by default on Safari, forcing users to enable it.  See the Enable Adobe Flash Player for Safari for assistance.

If that doesn't work, try Remove restrictions on Flash content playing in Safari
