flash player message on channel4.com

I'm trying to watch catch up TV on channel4.com on my Microsoft Surface RT using Internet Explorer (Windows 8.1).

I've checked I have flash player installed and updated, plus made sure flash player is enabled but the video still won't play.

It just shows a message saying "Adobe flash player required. To view this content you need to install or upgrade Adobe flash player."

Why is this? I've never had this problem before!, please help!
