Do these crashes occur anytime you view Flash content, or just certain sites? Does it occur when you visit this page:

Flash Player Version (http://adobe.ly/wNzNAu)

I suspect you'll need to revert to a previous version of Flash Player until we can figure out what's going on here. Before doing so, please visit "about:plugins" and "about:support" in Firefox's address bar and copy/paste the results into a forum reply.

We'd also like to know what anti-virus, anti-malware, privacy or save flash video utilities you might be running and what versions

Once done, you can uninstall Flash Player and then reinstall using the installer found here:

Chris is right. You will need to downgrade to an older version of Flash Player like 11.8. This error appears only when you have Firefox 24 (newest version of Firefox) and Flash Player 11.9 together. But, I have a computer with Vista on it (Firefox 24 & Flash 11.9) and this error does not appear.

Downgrade to an older version by visiting the Adobe Archive page - http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html. I also was trying to install older version of Flash Player 11.7 or 8 using Firefox as my browser because I cannot view certain videos on CNN's Watch More site.I read that uninstalling 11.9 and installing older version might help but it doesn't allow me to so this.How do u get older versions to install?

Also on CNN 's "Watch More" a collection of 2 minute videos,i get audio but no video and my flash is updated? It is only on this site that i cannot view.if i go to any other news site like MSNBC,i have no problems viewing videos.What would be causing this and getting earlier versions of Flash player help??

When reporting issues with video or audio, it's also helpful to get your system hardware and driver details. Instructions for finding this information can be found here:

Flash Player 11.7 should work here, so I would definitely recommend verifying you are on this release by visiting the Flash Player Version page.

Thx Chris for getting back to me. I am running a PC 32-bit system on XP using 24.o version of Mozilla Firefox.The flash version is 11.9.900.117 . Here are details on my machine>>>>>>

Note that at this site there are a series of 2-minute videos all of which i cannot get video.Audio is fine. Strangely enough within CNN other sites and places i can get video.

Do you know if VIA has an updated video driver for your computer? If so I'd recommend updating it if possible.

Here are a couple of additional things I'd try:

1. Disable Flash Player hardware acceleration

How do I disable or enable hardware acceleration?

2. Revert back to Flash Player 11.7

Chris,now you lost me. I noticed on that CNN URL and page in their video player when that the flash player acceleration check-box is checked off but is grayed out,i cannot access it. Is that what u mean? I need some simple steps as to where and what i do to get to my Falsh Player? Where is this(please provide step by step as to how to arrive there)

As fas as reverting to earlier version of Flash player 11,7 or 8, when i attempted to do thia it booted me out or indicated that i couldn't do this that there was the latest version of Flash player available.

Please help:)

Hold on Chris, i remmebered that page followed your instructions on the Flash Player Page,right-clicked and then to Settins and presto unchecked the hardware accelerator box,here it wasn't greyed out as in the CNN Video Player.I then tried the CNN site that had the videos and presto i could finally view them.I owe you big time Chris. Many thanks for your kind help.Perhaps this can help others.

Ok, it's possible that your video driver just doesn't support hardware acceleartion. This would make this checkbox disabled.

For reverting, is it the installer that is blocking you? If so, can you uninstall first using this stand alone installer?

This same problem exists w/Firefox 25 on both my 32-bit tower (Gigabyte video board) & 64-bit laptop (Intel HD Graphics). Turning off hdwe accel stops it.

This is the Intel driver on my ASUS U50F laptop. Haven't done a remote sess. w/this machine. Let me know the procedure. BTW, the bug is Firefox specific: It does not happen with the new MSIE 11. Please reply to [email address removed]

I have that same problem Chris what do I do? I am kind of confused reading this information.

I started having this problem on the weekend. I have Firefox 25 with Windows 7 64 bit operating system

I don't know how to fix this. I have never had a problem with adobe and firefox. I can still play video. I want to fix this though.

Chris, I'm now running 11-9-900-117 on my 32-bit Win 7 tower (Gigabyte

MOBO & vid board, 3G Prescott Pentium III) without the crash happening.

I'll try it on the 64-bit ASUS laptop (Intel video) in the morning and

see if disabling hardware acceleration has any effect.
