Hello,
I try to upgrade Adobe Flash Player but it would not let me install it. It always says I should deinstall older versions first.
But I can't find any older versions. All I can find is Adobe Windows Media Player. Is that the same? Do I have to deinstall
this one in order to install Flash Player?
Thanks,
Tanja
Hi, You always must use the Flash Player Uninstaller before Installing the latest version. Download and SAVE it to your Desktop. http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
Then go to this troubleshooting guide and make sure your Settings are correct and follow the suggestions that apply.
Find the Manual Installers and use one or both, depending on what you need. Download and SAVE to your Desktop.

You must use the Administrator Account, Close all browsers, disable any applications (see system tray) that use Flash(such as messenger services). Run the Uninstaller and when finished, Reboot your computer. Then Run the Installer (s) and then Reboot.
Windows Media Player is from Microsoft. You may have Adobe Media Player also. Not the same. Flash Player is different from either one of those. You only want to Uninstall Flash Player and Install the new version.
Hope this helps,
