The storage settings for the Flash Player doesn't persist, I noticed that all the saves from the FP are connected to the browser's cookies, so everytime I delete them, so does the FP saves.
Currently I'm using Firefox 4.0.1, the first time I noticed this error was when the FP got updated.
In the older version I could keep clearing the history log and keep all my FP's saves.
Any help is welcome,
Igor

Hi Igor,
This is a new feature in Flash Player 10.3. As far as I'm aware, there is no way to decouple LSO (flash cookies) and browser cookie clearing in IE and Firefox.

You can achieve that by using 3rd-party cleaning software like CCleaner.

Good call Pat. I was focused on the actual browser, a third party solution is a great idea.

This solved my problem partially, all I want is that Firefox keeps my Flash saves while I clear the history log.
Your way works too, now, instead of clearing the history log through the browser, I use CCleaner.

Hi, I had the same concern when first becoming aware of the LSO's being deleted. Here is what I was told:
Hi eidnolb,
This is really not as complicated as it seems.
So far, browser vendors who have implemented this functionality have chosen to combine cookies with Flash LSOs with regards to clearing history. This should give you the granularity that you need: If you clear your history and you tell the browser to clear cookies as well, Flash LSOs will be cleared. If you clear your history but you don't select cookies, Flash LSOs will remain on the machine.
Of the currently shipping browsers, IE8, IE9 and Firefox 4 have chosen to combine cookies and Flash LSOs. Earlier versions of these browser don't support this new functionality. Other browsers may support this functionality in future versions.
Thanks,
Stephen

I've checked this out with some games I play and want to keep the scores saved. I can clear History and the LSO's are saved.
If I clear the Temp(browser) cookies, then they are deleted. So Pat told me about CCleaner for the cookies also:-)
Thanks Pat!!
