Flash player updated twice, uninstalled and reinstalled and still not working

Flash is not working.

I have clicked on the "get flash now" button in the program that wants it.

I have updated to the newest version twice.

It appeared in my program list.

It didn't work.

I restarted my computer.

It didn't work.

I uninstalled flash using the adobe self-help.

I reinstalled the latest version.

It still doesn't work.

Please respond with a valid solution.

Im having the same problem. Mine finally got d/led. no icon on desk top. shows up in my list. it is enbled and its still not working. when I try to play a game or view videos its saying I need to dl it. I have windows vista
