The security update KB3132372 which was rolled out by Microsoft during the last couple of days automatically updates flash for Internet explorer (Flash Active X) to version 20.0.0.267.

Uninstalling the security update results in a flash downgrade and is at your own risk. It is not a recommended action, but it is currently the only temporary solution we could find to get flash moving again.

I believe that this morning's Windows Update includes the patch for this.

Flash Player is a built in component of both Internet Explorer and Edge on Windows 10, as well as Chrome on all platforms.

For IE and Edge, the following might be useful.

    -----

First, confirm that ActiveX Filtering is configured to allow Flash content:

Internet Explorer 11 and Edge introduce a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.

You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:

If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative.

For Chrome, it should just generally work.  If the issue is specific to a particular site, it's most likely a problem with how that website is detecting the presences of Flash.  If you want to provide a link, we can take a look.
