how do you install flash player 11.9

you tube video will not play so i went to plug ins on mozilla firefox and clicked on update it says flash player needs to be updated and it is vulnerable so i clicked on update and it sent me to adobe page and went through all that and downloaded the file and then after it was done i clicked on the file to install and click run and it finally started to install then at 7% it says trying to reconnect

my question is

is adobe trying to reconnect or is there something with the program that is kicking it offline

my computer is still online and never lost connection

have been through this process many times with no luck of getting the program......i called support and they said for 40.00 we can help you and we do not sale or have this program on a cd that i can buy

i have windows 7 with 64 bit and mozilla firefox as browser and the version is 11.9.900.152 i have ran the uninstaller and went start run and tried that path as well as told on help adobe.........i am just wondering if i have to turn off my antivirus and wirewall and maybe go to certain places in my browser and turn some stuff on and maybe some off in order to get this program on my computer........and what is shockwave for director? somehow i got it.........i had shockwave flash before i am thinking

Download the following files by right clicking ansd selecting "Save Link as".

Flash Player Uninstaller

Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

Exit Firefox.

Check your Task Manager to be sure it's not still running in a background process.

Run the uninstaller to remove Flash Player.

Then run the installer to install the 11.9.900.152 plugin for Firefox.

Launch Firefox, and click Tools>Add-ons

Under Plugins, it should show 11.9.900.152 and it a=should show "Always Activate".

Shockwave is  plugin for interactivity, like in Flash games.

Run that to be sure it's up to date too.

That's "Easy Media Player". NOT an Adobe product. And they're probably violating the DMCA using that logo.

The "debugger" is mostly for Flash developers and web designers, to make sure content they've created and uploaded is working properly. The average user has no need of it and it gets pretty annoying popping up warnings about things that won't usually affect your use of it.

ok thank you i will start this process and will post back on the results but i can say i feel a lot better about doing this now........and thank you for all the feedback.......sounds like you might have done this before

ok i did all that except the shockwave player 12 and yes shockwave flash is in the plug ins  and always activate on firefox and when i go to youtube the video still will not play and when i clicked on the download to install this file......... install flash player 11x32_mssd_aaa_aih.exe.........and when i clicked on it i am still having the same problem it would not install.....run and tries to install with Mc afee anti virus.......both fail to install

when you go here and then click on the link determine the shockwave player you installed it will take you to a page to run a few test and all was good until i got to ............when you see macromedia authorware web player.......anyway it says i need a plug in to watch moies or videos.....but i cant find where i go to get the plug in i am missing unless i will get it when i download shockwave 12........do you know or i guess i will find out later when the download ends......
