Hulu Error 3321

Hello,

I'm having a bit of trouble getting hulu to run shows on my laptop.I'm not very tech savvy so I will try to explain my situation as best I can.

I recently purchased a new Asus X540L laptop running Windows 10. I first attempted to run my hulu after setting everything up in Firefox, however each time I go to start a video I'm given the following message:

There was a problem playing this protected content. (Error code: 3321)

If this error occurs repeatedly, please follow these steps:

1. Clear your Flash cache.. and then gives steps on how to do so

2. Go to (Http//phtshp.us/aDzNKq) and reset License Files

3. Try using another browser (and suggests using Google Chrome)

Okay, so I try option 3 first, and get the same message, only it suggests using Firefox instead. So go back and try both options 1 and 2, following all of the steps carefully (and multiple times, I might add), and getting no results from either.

So I then tried to Google my solution, only to be given the same solutions, with the same results. I've tried the protected sites and sandbox suggestions the sites offer as well, with still no luck.

Now, I'm running a Webrooter program, with a MacAfee protection, and though Google has told me this error is a Flash problem, I'm wondering if maybe it has something to do with my firewall or something. I've searched through the forums here and not found a solution to my problem either. I've even tried redownloading Flash player and nothing seems to be working.

I'm also running the latest versions of all of these programs, since I've only had this laptop for a few days, and having no problems running Netflix or other videos.

I hope that's enough information to help me find a solution, as I have tried everything that Google has to offer, and I'm paying a monthly subscription so I'd like to get things up and running. Any and all help is much appreciated.

Thanks. I couldn't figure out how to do that either.

Well, the error you're encountering indicates that individualization fails.  Individualization is the process of uniquely fingerprinting your computer and assigning it an identifier, so that DRM protected content transmitted to an authorized computer can only be played on that computer.

If individualization is failing, my guess is that either there was a temporary outage which has probably already long resolved itself, or you're unable to reach the right server, etc.   You might try temporarily disabling your software firewall as an experiment to see if that resolves the problem.  I saw some traffic about Hulu recently making updates to their servers that might also have addressed this.

Depending on the software firewall, sometimes you have to actually uninstall it to get things working normally.  Again, temporary troubleshooting measures.  If they don't help, put things back the way they were.

Have you tried Hulu Support? I doubt anyone at Adobe can help you with Hulu.

According to Hulu support, it's a Flash error.
