I install Flash Player with no apparent errors and check to see if it is installed, and it is not.  Shockwave Flash Object is installed however, and is enabled in Internet Explorer.  I am on Windows 7 64 bit, IE 32 bit.  All the help info I can find just tells me how to install, which I have done over and over with the same result that every program I try still says it needs to be installed.  Driving me nuts!!!
