Instaling QB 2005

Trying to install QB 2005. It asks for Flash Player 7 and tells me to go to Macromedia. No FP 7 but there is an FP 9. I installed that but QB will not install.

    Q.uick B.ooks

I think I had the same problem a few months ago, I am far from an expert, but that
problem (in my situation) was being caused by the set-up for the intro-tour thingy which is not an integral part of QB. If I remember correctly, I solved this by opening the disk with windows explorer and runing the QB05 installer (the disk I was using had this useless product tour whatever, and thats what wanted Flash7, I don't think QB actually needs it, but as far as I could discover that stupid thingy won't be cool unless you got 7 and ONLY 7) QB itself has its own set-up that the stupid gimmiky thing launches for you, If you do it yourself their poorly concieved marketing frivolities will be powerless to stop you.

P.S. I noticed your problem because now I can't uninstall Flash8 because I think it wants some file(install_flash_player_active_x.msi) from the QB disk (I went to QB06) but I no longer use this machine for that so I just uninstalled QB05 and I have no idea where the disk is. If this product needs a file packaged with another product to function (i.e. uninstall) then it should be removed when the product with which it was integrated is removed (not Adobe's fault though, this file is part of whatever they license to other developers to integrate Flash)

I am having the same problem while installing QuickBooks 2005. Have you been able to install Quickbooks?

That sounds like a question for whoever makes QB .. whatever 'QB' is.
