Can anyone tell me if using Flash 11.5 in Internet Explorer is safe? Are there any vulnerabilities that might make it unsafe?

Hello,
Flash Player 11.5 was first released in November 2012 and was last updated in February 2013. It has not received any security updates since then. We have released numerous versions of Flash Player since then with new features and security fixes. It is not recommended to use Flash Player 11.5 as it does not contain any of these security fixes. Please obtain the latest Flash Player 13, from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer. If for some reason you cannot use the latest version with the latest features and security fixes, we do provide an Extended Support Release version 11.7, containing only security fixes. This version is available at the bottom of page 'Adobe Flash Player Distribution | Adobe'

Using Internet Exploder in itself, is unsafe. It's the WORST of ALL browsers from a security standpoint, mostly because of its eighteen year old ActiveX controls (old enough to vote - Yay!)
Unless you're bound to it by a corporate policy, you're better off using ANYTHING else (with the exception of AOL software).
ANY of those will work better than IE, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that, because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.
