Is Flash Player fully compatible with Windows 7?

Is the latest version of Flash Player fully compatible with the 32bit release version of Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8?

I am asking this because since I reinstalled Windows 7 32bit and Flash Player I am experiencing problems with Flash.

My action centre informs me that I have a problem with Flash Player and I should go to Adobe's website and address the problem.

I have uninstalled Flash and reinstalled Flash as Microsoft and Adobe advise, several times but I still get problems.

I uninstalled the 64bit version of Windows 7 because Flash was causing too many problems.

Since reinstalling the 32bit version I have had several reports of Flash Player not working properly, Skype reporting problems and IE8

using compatibility view when I view some web-pages with Flash in them.

When attempting to view Netto's webpages Flash fails to work and I am told to download the latest version of Flash again.

I do not remember this problem occuring with either previous versions of Flash or with Windows 7 RC.

Is anyone else using the Professional version of Windows 7 32bit experiencing the same or similar problems?

    Hi.

    I've been having problems with flash on Windows 7 watching Online videos. I'm keen to keep an eye on this thread in case anything usefull pops up.

    Sorry i can't help you at the moment but if anyone helps out on my thread then i'll copy it on to yours if it seems relevant.

    I think my reply to you earlier got lost. Since you have done Uninstalling/Reinstalling of Windows, your Browser and Flash Player, please post and state, what versions of Windows do you now have installed, same for the Browser & your Adobe Flash Player Status. You can find the latter at www.adobe.com/software/flash/about

    You might want to also list what of Adobe is in Add/Remove; same for Manage Add ons & whether they are Disabled or Enabled.

    Are you using an Third party Toolbars, such as Google or Yahoo, etc?

    Any and all of these factors enter in to a successful install.

    Windows 7 Professional 32bit system,

    IE 8.0.7600.16385,

    Flash 10.0.32.18,

    In Control Panel - Programs & Features

    Adobe Flash Player 10 active X

    Adobe Reader 9.2

    Adobe Shockwave Player 11.5

    Add-ons

    Shockwave Flash Object = enabled

    Adobe PDF link helper = disabled

    Windows live ID sign in helper = disabled

    Office document cache handler = disabled

    Send to one note = disabled

    Skype add-on for IE = disabled

    Linked notes = disabled

    Skype add-on mastermind = enabled

    Skype = enabled

    No third party toolbars are installed.

    Hello again, Your Add/Remove programs look fine. In the Manage add ons, you are missing Java, go to Sun Microsystems and install the latest versions. Then Disable Skype add on mastermind and Skype. Leave only Shockwave Flash and Java Enabled, Reboot your computer and test the sites again.
