Question

language support url for adobe flash palyer

I found that for different languages support the adobe flash url format is "http://www.adobe.com/jp/products/flashplayer/".

Is there a general url where the laguage code can be passed as a paramerter, something like "http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer?lang=jp".

If avaliable could please post the format?

Waiting for reply

Flash Player is a multi-language installer; i.e. if you install it on an English language operating system, it will install the English version, on a Japanese OS it will install the Japanese version.  The installer is the same.

The language code you show in the URL you mention is just the download page; the download itself is the same.

    Thanks for the reply.

I have this scenario. I have hosted a website with flash content which supports multiple languages. so if the janpanese user doesnt have flash installed, the websites takes the user to the english version of flash download page. But i want it to go to japanese version of the flash download page. I do able to find the url "http://www.adobe.com/jp/products/flashplayer/" for different languages. But i dont want to hard code it. If adobe changes the url format, then i too have to change it. If its a parameter, it will be redirected automatically.

Does adobe support url with laguage as parameters?

else please suggest a way to do this...

I do not know about language parameters.

What I do know is that when I click on the 'Get Flash Player' link on the main (English) Adobe website (http://www.adobe.com/go/EN_US-H-GET-FLASH) it automatically takes me to http://www.adobe.com/jp/products/flashplayer/ when I am on Japanese Windows.

This is probably the easiest for you, as you don't have to do anything from your side.

But curious as I am, I just tried http://www.adobe.com/go/JP-H-GET-FLASH, and that takes me to the Japanese download page, even if I am on English Windows.
