Long-standing Crash on Mac Safari persists with Flash 18.x

So, it looks like Adobe doesn't care much about the user experience.  As of this date 6/21/2015, Flash Player continues to CRASH in Safari several times each day.  It's really getting old and updates to each new release has not solved the problem.  Current Flash Player installed on my Mac is v18, so this is getting a bit ridiculous.  What is Adobe going to do about this KNOWN PROBLEM and WHEN?

    Now, I'm not sure which I hate more, Adobe (never was a fan of any of their bloated apps) for taking their not-so-Flash and making it crash and freeze anything not on a 2015 computer or the web designers that have no idea what a HTML5 is, and not caring about their readers experience on their website.

    I have no idea what the latest version of Flash does, but I can nearly time it to the second to crash my browser (Safari and Firefox) after 1 hour if I stay on the same web site. Most interesting, it doesn't matter if it's on an old Mac mini, my friend's Mac pro or my parents' 1 year old iMac, regardless if it is OSX 10.7 or the very latest 10.10 ("Yosemite"). Most of the time, there was no way out but to Force Quit my browser, even then, it takes my Mac nearly a minute to recover from Flash's tyranny on my computer. Anyone with any less patience would have powered off their computer to reset it.

    I'll probably remove any sign of the Flash cancer on my computer and see if I can live without the web sites that insist on using it. Whether it's pop-up ads, auto running videos, sites that trap you in with only quitting the browser as an option, or features (?) that keep running when you leave the web page (Flash!!), I hate it when other people take control over MY computer or do anything to alter its speed and function; those sites get deleted immediately.

    @GM

    Thanks for your feedback.

    If you have a set of reproducible steps that consistently generates a crash, we'd be more than happy to take a look.  We just need actionable feedback.  Things like step-by-step instructions that allow us to reproduce the problem, and the specific make and model of an affected machine (e.g. 15" Macbook Pro 11,4 with MacOS 10.10.3) are the most expedient route to a resolution for a specific crash.

    There's actually a really good list of what helps us solve problems here:

    While you're welcome to vent if it makes you feel better, it would be really helpful if you did that in a dedicated thread, instead of hijacking one where someone is actually trying to get a specific problem resolved.  That said, I'm way more interested in actually getting problems fixed and would welcome your participation.

    @Art Collins

    I've branched your post out to a unique discussion so that we can better address your issue, and updated the title to better capture the issue you're seeing.

    There are a lot of reasons that software crashes, but we're always happy to investigate given actionable feedback.

    The following basics would be really useful:

    A crash log is really the definitive source of information.  It's not always useful, but if it's a straightforward issue, it's the most expedient path to a fix.  See the section on creating a Flash Player crash log for Mac Safari.  There's a link about halfway down the page.

    Report a Flash Player crash

    It also might be interesting to see if disabling hardware acceleration improves stability for you.  We're seeing a pretty big uptick in crashes related to video drivers, particularly on older hardware running Yosemite.

    See the section in the video troubleshooting guide below on disabling hardware acceleration for guidance on how to do that:
