We need the offline installer for v10.3.183.5 "Plugin for other browsers".  With this latest version they have now changed the download for the "Different operation system or browser"!  You used to be able to download the offline .exe to install the "plugin" version of Flash Player to be used with Firefox or Opera browsers.  Now you instead end up downloading a "install_flashplayer10_aih.exe" for this but this silly program is NOT the installation file.  It kicks off an internet download manager/installer, which in turn installs the file via the internet.

We need the offline installer for the plugin version because we remotely install Flash to our thousands of computers and without the "offline" installer you can't do this.  We can't push out the Flash player plugin to our remote computers using this new annoying internet downloader/installer.  (Why does Adobe make it so impossibly inconvenient to download and install their free software?  Are they trying to chase people away from using Flash?!)

For the Flash Player ActiveX player (for Internet Explorer) you can use these links:

    For the .EXE

    http://www.adobe.com/go/full_flashplayer_win_ie

    For the .MSI

I've done some more searching and believe I have found a link to download the actual offline installer for the "plugin" version of Flash for other browsers at:

    http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe

I really wished Adobe would simply list 3 additional links on the primary Flash download page for:

    OFFLINE INSTALLERS

    Adobe Flash ActiveX (.EXE)

    Adobe Flash ActiveX (.MSI)

    Adobe Flash Plugin (other browsers)

I think this would really help a lot of folks and reduce a lot of frustration.

You're kidding right?  What person in the public arena would ever think to attempt to find a subforum on Adobe's website when all they want to do is download the product?  Wouldn't everyone always go to the download page?  I mean Adobe has a download link right on their main page, but they don't have a link to this forum, so where would you expect people to go to download the product?

I appreciate the link you posted as it will be very helpful.  But for %99.9 of the public, they will never see your post or this forum.  That's not to say they can't go searching, but the logical place to post download links is on the "DOWNLOAD" page so why can't Adobe just make it easy and post those download links on their primary download page for Flash player?  (The fact that you admit the download links are published daily in this forum is a testament that Adobe is failing to make it easy to provide these downloads for most people.  Otherwise there would be no need to post any download links here.)

That's right, because 99.x% of FP users just do the standard install on the default download page.

Just in the rare cases anyone encounters problems, or needs an offline installer, you will need to do a litte research.  Logically the first step will be to go to the Flash Player support forum.  Where, as I said, one of the multiple download pages are published on a daily basis.
