As I wrote, I tried many things before going to search for a solution...this includes no password (and yes I know that capital letters can stop me from accessing and downloading).

You are right, I don't need a password when I log to my own computer...but that i snot my problem. My problem is that Adobe flashplayer asked a password...that I forgot.

I don't remember my password, therefore I cannot type the password carefully! :-0

Nevertheless, I found a good way to install flashplayer without any problem. My friend tried it as he had the same problem...everything is good now.

You shouldn't have to disable disk encryption (file vault) to install Flash Player.

The following instructions work for most people:

This password prompt is presented by your operating system, and is intended to keep you from accidentally installing software.

If this is your personal machine and you don't need a password to log into the computer when it first starts up, you can probably leave the password blank and click OK to get past this prompt. If this is your personal machine and your normal password isn't working, check to make sure that CAPS LOCK is off, and type the password carefully.

If this is your work machine and it's asking for an Administrator password, well, you'll need to have a conversation with your friendly IT person.

If you're still stumped, you may need to reset the password on your Mac:
