Un-allow adobe to automatically install updates

Guest

I wasn't paying strict attention.  I clicked the "allow adobe to install in the future" button when I installed the latest flash player.  I have always hit the "notify me re updates" before.  That's how I want it.  When I tried re-using the installer to get back to the three-button screen about allowing updates, I can  no longer reach this screen.  The installer just reinstalls without giving me that choice.  How do I get control of adobe back?  Do I have to uninstall all of (freebie) adobe and re-install, or has adobe subverted this path?  Please help.  I like being in control of my computer as much as possible.  I have an imac.

thanks!
