I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player and Shockwave. I have has problems ever since while reading my AOL Mail!  I get a message that a malfunctiong or malicious add-on has caused IE to close. It then reconnects. Sometimes the message is an add-on is attempting to use memory incorrectly.

Any ideas on how to correct this?

Does it tell you what add-on was causing the error?  If not, can you find details in the Event Viewer?

The first event you posted mentiones McAfee; do you have any McAfee products installed?

Does the same thing also happen if you start IE in Safe Mode (browser safe mode, not Windows safe mode)?
