Website Embedded Audio Players / Streams Don't Work

Audio players on certain websites won't play. I am having difficulty getting audio players to work with Flash Player version 11.3. 300.265.

Website examples: http://www.cbc.ca/q/   (podcasts don't play)

                               http://www.qr77.com/  (Listen Live doesn't work)

I have contacted the website admins and they assure me their players are working fine.

I am trying to stream/play audio podcasts, but when I do it seems to sort of partially load, but then hangs and nothing happens. All videos on websites, including youtube seem to work fine. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player countless times. Nothing seems to work. I am at my wits end..

I am on Win 7, 32-bit using I.E. 9. I have followed ALL the instructions for addressing known issues. I have disabled Active X Filtering, I have enabled Flash Player and Shockwave Flash Object, Deleted Flash Player browsing data, removed Flash Player cache, disabled Flash Player hardware acceleration, and increased storage limit for those websites.

Please help.

Thanks!

Both your links work fine for me on a similar system.

Can you try if you can get it to work on a different browser like Firefox or Chrome?  (I am not trying to get you to change browsers, just see if the problem occurs over all browser platforms.)

I have tried those websites with Chrome, and the audio players don't work (i.e. the players don't play and I can't get a stream) using that browser either.  I suspected I may have a virus, but Windows Security Essentials indicates I don't.

Sorry, I have no other ideas - you already seem to have done everything I could recommend.

Hopefully someone from the Adobe team can have a look at this.

In the meantime, what is your Security Essentials version (click on the down arrow beside Help and select About Security Essentials); the latest version is 4.0.1526.0.

Hi, thanks for your replies. My MSE version is 4.0.1526.0. I did a full scan last night. Is there a chance someone from  Adobe will read my question? I only joined the forum today and don't know how it works or what to expect. This is driving me nuts. Everything was working fine before I updated to the latest version on July 11. I tried to download and install the previous version of Flash Player but I think it downloaded it as a zip file and I couldn't find it anywhere on my system. Peter
