What are the two necessary versions of Adobe Flash Player that I need to have running om my computer?

ADOBE:

     I am trying to determine what are the two correct names of Adobe Flash Player I need running on my PC to make & help the display of my video and software. I believe one Adobe Flash Player version is Adobe Flash Player AciveX and the other Adobe Flash Player version is Adobe Flash Player NPPAPI. I am not certain that is why I am asking this long drawn out question. Email me with any answers you can give my, Thank You!
