I need Flashplayer to run an app I have used for several years, is there a way to be sure it isn't blocked so I can still use the app.  The app is called Smilebox and not I can't run creations I made with photos.  Thank-you for your help.

Smilebox had 3-1/2 years advanced notice that Flash Player was ending on Dec 31st giving them more than ample time to create an alternative app.  Ask Smilebox to update th

So you haven't been able to use it either?  Mine hasn't worked for about 2 years but I still could run my creations and now I am unable to do that.

You you guys seem to have an attitude; yeah you created the app ,and it was free, and it's yours but you certainly didn't need to get rid of it on everyone's machine you didn't need to disable it you could have just stopped supporting it and everyone would have been happy.

don't call this a problem with security this is just about money and everybody knows it

1. This is a user-to-user forum.

2. What money?  Nobody spent a cent on Flash Player except Adobe.

3. Why don't you ask  Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Mozilla why they killed Flash Player.

How about those that have a printer that no longer works becuase there was no warning about devices using this sofware.  Am I supposed to go out and buy a new printer so that I can scan documents for work and continue to run my business?

Telling someone to delete a program and not giving them ample information as to what it might affect is TOTAL BS!!!!!

I wonder how much Adobe is paying the printer companies for the purchase of a new printer?????

Use the onboard printer/scanner controls instead of the software. That may buy you some time until you're ready to replace your old equipment.  Suffice to say, everyone had 3-1/2 years advanced notice that Flash was ending.  If they didn't see fit to update their apps by now, that was their decision.  Contact the equipment manufacturer and ask them why.

Per the HP forums, it sounds like there are a couple alternative software packages that work and don't have Flash dependencies.  I can't vouch for them, but details are here:
