Why do my friend's MP3 files not play using Safari on MacOS 10.10?

I am on a macbook pro which has recently upgraded from OSLion to Yosemite.  I use google.  Although u-tubes work fine, and I did the test with the clouds to see if Flash was installed properly (it was), I am unable to access MP3 sound files a friend has put on the web.  They're blocked with a GET ADOBE box.  I have downloaded the recent Flash player several times but now know from the cloud test that can't be the problem.  Plug ins are ticked.  Can anyone suggest anything else please?

Thanks for replying Jeromie - I finally discovered what the problem was - in case anyone has a similar problem.  In the upgrade to Yosemite access to this particular site had been blocked.  i went into Safari preferences, plug ins, website settings and there was the evidence for why I couldn't access it. Not sure why this should have happened but at least I've learned a bit more about the mac!  Cheers.

Updated the subject to more accurately reflect the problem.

To give you any useful advice, I'm going to need to know more about your computer and browser:
