Chrome: Flash is blocked on CNBC and Turner Broadcasting

Specific websites are blocking flash. This problem started for me about a month ago, when, I was trying to access TBS to watch some of their programs (along with other Turner Broadcasting sites). I have flash set to "Allow sites to run Flash" and to "ask first". I'm also not authorizing flash to block any sites. Now today, I'm having the same trouble with NBC websites (not NBC Sports). All of the instructions ive seen for this issue are just telling me to turn on flash, but that's clear not the problem here. Is anyone else having the same problem?

The latest webpage to block flash on Chrome. http://www.cnbc.com/live-tv

P.S. I'm on the latest version of Chrome and I have Windows 10

Given that this original thread was from 2017, I'm going to lock this.

At this point in 2020, most major US browsers block Flash by default, and at the same time, most broadcasters no longer require Flash Player in order to stream video.

If you need to enable Flash in your browser, the following guide should help:

If you continue to experience problems, please start a new thread, and use the following guide to get the most useful answer:

I couldn't even get the sign in to work which I suspect is Flash-based. I did find a solution that worked for me. There's a Chrome setting called Run all Flash content when Flash setting is set to “allow” which you can bring up by going to chrome://flags/#run-all-flash-in-allow-mode. Setting that to Enable fixed my problem. I posted the solution with screenshots here http://www.seriouslytrivial.com/2017/08/14/getting-flash-to-run-in-chrome/

If that setting in Chrome isn't there anymore, how else can I do this? I have this problem whenever watching content on ESPN or DirecTV. No videos play whatsoever same problem as above, and no sites are blocked.

Chrome, along with the other major browsers, are actively making changes that will make it more difficult to run Flash Player.  In general, these are restrictions imposed by the browser, over which we have no control or recourse.  In some instances, depending on how content was authored, changes may also be required on the content provider's side.

The following guide has some recommendations for enabling Flash Player in Chrome given the recent changes; however, it's expected that you will see steadily increasing amounts of friction as the browser vendors continue to make changes.
