Hi,
I've recently upgraded flash to 10.2.152.27-0maverick1 and start having issues with videos on youtube and flash animations on other sites. Videos look like not being properly decoded, flash animations and ads leaves an annoying leftovers even after restarting Firefox, visible through new tabs and on the system Desktop. I've tried to reinstall every flash package from repositories - adobe-flashplugin/flashplugin-installer/flashplugin-nonfree - but problem occurs in every one of them. Rebooting does not help, adobe flashtest works fine, but letters seems transparent. I'm using the newest version of Sun's Java and have disabled flash hardware acceleration.

Hi, I am not familiar with Linux but certain basics apply to any OS/browsers that Adobe Flash Player supports.
This would be the first thing to check is the system requirements:
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/systemreqs/index.html
This is a Troubleshooting guide for Linux and there are system requirements included in it also. And additional information.
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/153/tn_15397.html
I don't have a Linux machine and don't troubleshoot that OS, so the above is all I can help you with except general info.
On Java, make sure you don't have any old Java versions, since the websites use the oldest instead of the latest. Don't ask me why.

SOLVED!
Reinstalling graphic drivers seems to fix the problem. It looks like rebiulding graphic kernel module removes conflicting X files. Problem occurs on Nvidia cards and the only solution is to install the newest version of proprietary drivers from producers website. I hope this is a permanent fix.

Hi, I hope so too. I'm glad you were able to solve the issue, since I'm not much help with Linux at all:-)
Well Linux does have that in common with the Windows OS regarding device drivers. This goes along with the hardware acceleration.
Thanks for posting back the info. This will be helpful to other Linux users.
