Flash 9 universal binary help!

I've recently installed the universal flash 9 download, and it has no taken effect. When trying to view Flash a quicktime question mark/logo replaces it. I've tried the solutions provided on the troubleshoot and nothing. The beta version worked fine but the latest edition has not shown me anything. Does anyone know what might be wrong?

i had the same issue....
when i looked in my add/remove programs i noticed that there were two instances - one for adobe flash 9, the other for macromedia flash 8. I can only infer that it didn't remove the old version.

i then removed both versions, restarted my machine went to a webpage that used flash, it prompted me for the download and voila - success :)

hi, i have the same problem. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the programs several times, restarting the pc many times to no avail. Did you finally get it resolved?
