Flash player no longer working in Google Chrome -- Chrome Version 22.0.1229.79, Mac OS X Lion. Flash works fine in Safari and Firefox. Pages with flash freeze -- can't scroll (e.g, nytimes.com); on youtube, sound plays but the video windows are black spaces. This problem appeared Sept. 26, 2012. I was running Snow Leopard; updated to Lion in hopes this would resolve the problem, but the problem is still there. If I go to chrome:plugins and disable Flash, I can scroll around nytimes.com and the flash box/window just tells me to install flash.

I have tried: Clearing Cache and all other data in Chrome. Going to the Library in Finder and deleting the Google folder from Library>Caches, then uninstalling Chrome and reinstalling it. None of these have fixed the problem.

I have a user with the same exact issue. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing chrome. He trys to view a youtube video or a video from any website and is not able to do so. He also is not able to scroll inside these websites either. If he uses Firefox or Safari it works fine. Not sure what is causing this issue? If you find a fix please post it here.

Thanks!

Thanks for weighing in. I wonder what it will take for one of the staff members to respond?
