On 27 Dec 2010 AEDST (Australia) I downloaded and tried to install the above update, the installation would not complete as the message on screen was 'This program is incorrect format for this system as it is 64 bit and your system is 32 bit.'

System is MS Windows with Internet Explorer and main browser is Mozilla using IE settings, P4/1.70GHz with 384mb RAM, X86 based PC

Browsed all over your site and I can't find a 32 bit Flash Player. Please help

From where did you download that installer, and what is the file name?

FP 10.1.102.64 can be installed on both 32-bit and 64-bit systems, but can only run on 32-bit browsers.

Download your installer(s) from here, and you should have no problems: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html

Downloaded above Flash player from Adobe.com, file name Adobe Flash Player 10.1.102.64, system Windows, browser Mozilla Firefox 3.6.13. No problems until I tried to install it. Standard response from installation procedure, turn off Windows Messenger, did this and on retry of installation 'This program is a 64 bit program and is not suitable to your system. Thank you for your help, I will try out your solution and let you know the outcome.

Thank you for the link, I have found where I went wrong. Instructions from Adobe at this link are for Download to be 'run' in Mozilla 3.6.13, 'to run' is only available in Windows IE. So when I reached this point I was only able 'to save' and I did that.

When I then went to my Control Panel on my computer and tried to Install a New Program. In the 'Browse' box to install program the response was (I am correcting my syntax here) 'install_flash_player_10.1.102.64 is not a valid Win 32 application'.

Perhaps my difficulties arise from saving a program meant 'to run' where any other choice was unavailable?

Thanks so much for all your help.
