FLV and Flash Player?

New Here ,
Jul 22, 2009 Jul 22, 2009

I have Vista Business and just downloaded latest Flash Player.  Won't run, and I can't find Flash through 'browse' window.  Any ideas? (I am sure it is obvious to someone!?!)

I'm not sure why Adboe doesn't make this clear with so many people having issues with flash and vista. Perhaps they aren't even aware, I really don't know.

However, flash will have compatibility issues if you're running the 64-bit version of your browser, as it only has a 32-bit edition. So you have to install a 32-bit edition in order not to have any sustaining issues. Most people do unknowingly run the 32-bit version of our browser, but if you have business edition, you may have installed the 64-bit.

Thanks, John

I am not sure which version I have as I just downloaded the free version from the Adobe web site and did not notice anything about 32 or 64 bit options (but then I was not looking for them either...). I will go back in and see if there is an option box.

cheers,

Euan

There is no 64-bit version of adobe flash. I'm saying you need to run a 32-bit version of your browser.

Again, thanks John. But if I am running a 32-bit version of Vista

(which I am), then surely the browser (IE) would also be 32-bit?
