How do I update Adobe Flash Player 25 ActiveX

I have just updated my Adobe Flash Player to the latest version (25.0.0.171) but the ActiveX still shows the old version (25.0.0.148)

Your help would be appreciated.

If the browser was open during the upgrade you'll need to restart the browser for the new version to load.

Hi hongl39898849​,

If you are using Windows 7 or below OS, go to Adobe Flash Player Install for all versions  page to get latest version of Flash Player.

On Windows 8 and above, ActiveX Flash Player updates are pushed by Microsoft as part of Windows updates.

The latest version available in market is 27.0.0.130. To check latest build numbers, you can refer to Adobe - Flash Player page.

Hi Anthony,

Thank you for your quick and helpful information.

I am running Flash Player on Window Server 2012 R2 with Internet Explorer 11. I don't want to go for the latest Flash player though.

I need to have ActiveX Flash Player 25.0.0.171 version on I.E 11. Do you know which Microsoft Updates would have ActiveX Flash Player 25.0.0.171 version.

Dear m_vargas

Thank you so much. I did close my browser after the upgrade but the old ActiveX still showed. But now, 30 minutes later, the new ActiveX is shown.

So, thank you. It works as you said even if it took a short time.
