How to change primary flash player

New Here ,
Aug 12, 2013 Aug 12, 2013

I have Macromedia Flash Player 6.0 r65  and Adobe flash.

When I tried to access my new WD hard drive  -  I constantly have problems with it aborting as it is called up  Aborting because SWF has a problem.    I believe I have this from my Macromedia Software.

It is not just this product -  seems to happen quite a bit

How can I fix it or  make my system accept Adobe flash as the default

I am on Windows XP Sp3.

Web browser -  Google Chrome

I believe Adobe Flash on Google Chrome -  Rev: 111.8.800.94

Unless you're opening content ON the hard drive that requires flash Player or Shockwave (in which case it would already be accessed and open), there is absolutely nothing in the process of accessing the drive (strictly a Windows Explorer function) that would be enabled or affected by Flash Player or Shockwave.

You should definitely uninstall Flash Player 6, as it is 11 years old!  Use http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html if it doesn't have an uninstaller in Control Panel.
