Insert Audio Files into Flash CS6

I am trying to drag and drop an audio file .wav into my flash document.  I get the error of "One or more files were not imported because there were problems reading them".  I have tried .mp3 with no success.  I have tried adding the file to library with no success.  I changed the sample rate from 48000hz to many lower levels and even to the lowest level.  I was told to install Itunes and Quicktime.  Not sure how that was supposed to help, but I tried anyways with no success.

I just opened a blank Action Script 3 file and tried to add audio with the same above error.  I am very new to flash, so I am sure its something I am doing wrong.

Note: The audio Files plays perfectly in any application: Adobe Audition, Quicktime, Itunes, Window Media Player, etc.

Thanks

Andre

You need the Flash Pro forum. This one is for the player which cannot edit FLA files.
