Shockwave Flash Player

I play games on Facebook and I always have this error " a plug in (shockwave player) is not responding. Or could not load shockwave player. Sometimes it says "shockwave player has crashed". I have tried to uninstall and reinstall shockwave player. I even tried updating it and nothing seems to be helping. Could you please help me resolve this problem?

What operating system and browser are you using?  Are you using the latest flash player plugin? What version of flash player does it say you have when you go to http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html

I have windows XP and I use chrome. My version of flash player is current.

can you type in "about:flash" into the browser address bar and post the info?
