Using Adobe Flash Player on Iphone?

New Here ,
Oct 16, 2013 Oct 16, 2013

Is there a way to use videos created with Adobe Flash Player on an iphone or ipad?  I would really like to use this software and create them but believe we are missing a big audience.  If anyone has found a way, would you please share with me?

In a word, "NO".

Apple designed iOS (iPhone iPad) to be SPECIFICALLY INCOMPATIBLE with Flash Player and Flash technologies.

That... will never change.

I use TeamViewer on iPad to access my Windows desktop. So in fact Flash is running on PC and I just see it on iPad. Any other remote desktop would also do. GoToMyPC, LogMeIn, Citrix, controlnow and more.

Puffin might be a good option for some people as well.  Same principle as your TeamViewer solution, but more streamlined - they run a flash instance on a server in the cloud and stream the results back to a specialized browser.

I have find a way to install flash player on iPhone (After Jailbreak). It works similar to android devices, but it takes a lot of hard work. PartA : Apps and files. 1.Open App Store app and type on Search line : WPS office. Then install app. 2. Open Cydia app and type on Search line : MyFile. Install this app. Open Cydia again and type on Search line : iOS Terminal. Then install app. 3. Open a browser on your p.c. and go to Adobe Flash Player-Downloads {www.Adobe Flash Player-Downloads}. Download the Linux files : [3.tar.gz files]. Rename them to something easy to type. I renamed the smaller file : flash1.tar.gz . The larger file : flash3.tar.gz . The other file : flash2.tar.gz .                                                       PartB : Transfer the 3.tar.gz files to iphone using WPS office app. Open WPS office app tap File Transfer tap Start and follow instructions. When the files are on iphone on WPS office app tap : My Documents then tap on the symbol on the right of the letters [My Documents] then tap : Share : (Only support one document). Then tap flash1.tar.gz then tap : Share as a document. Then tap : Open in MyFile. Use the same way for other 2 files.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    PartC : Installation. 1. Open iOS Terminal app and type : [cd /User/Documents] and press enter. Next type [tar -zxvf flash1.tar.gz] and press enter. If the file is there it will run a few lines. Next Type [".flashplayer] and press enter.                    Next type [chmod +x flashplayer]. Next [./flashplayer] . Next [./configure] . Next [make] . Next [make install] .Next [flashplayer *.flv] .                                                                                                                                                            After you have completed all the commands type [".flash2.tar.gz] . The Terminal will return (No such file or directory) but it will be ready for next file. The installation of the second in size file (flash2.tar.gz) is similar as described above. The only difference is that the word flashplayer will be replaced with the word flashplayerdebugger.                                                                                                                                                                                                                     The installation of the larger file (flash3.tar.gz) is different (Do not forget to begin the installation of the the third file with the command [".flash3.tar.gz] Only if you are continuing from above) . Commands 1.[tar -zxvf flash3.tar.gz] .                      2.[".flash3.tar.gz] .3. [cp -r usr/* /usr].4. [chmod 775 libflashplayer.so]. 5. [".readme.txt]. The terminal will return (No such file or directory) . 6. [".readme.txt]. 7. [chmod +x readme.txt]. 8. [./readme.txt] . 9. [./configure]. 10. [make].                   11.[make install]. It takes time to install flash.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Notes : 1.Make sure that you know how to enter your iphone in recovery and how to use iTunes. 2. If the installation is successful flash player will work after any upgrade.3.I am not responsible for what will happen to your device after you try any of these instructions.

Third party app-stores and redistributed binaries are common avenues for malware infection, especially on mobile devices.  Caveat emptor.

Additionally to the guide above. The link for download the files is : https://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/debug_downloads.html . I will repeat the commands for the file flas1.tar.gz because the gaps are important [tar -zxvf flash1.tar.gz],[".flashplayer],[chmod +x flashplayer],[./flashplayer],[./configure],[make],[make install],[flashplayer *.flv] . For the file flash3.tar.gz : [tar -zxvf flash3.tar.gz],[".flash3.tar.gz],[cp -r usr/* /usr],[chmod 775 libflashplayer.so],[".readme.txt],again [".readme.txt],[chmod +x readme.txt],[./readme.txt],[./configure],[make],[make install]. Enter is mentioned as return on iOS Terminal.

I want to give you more details but English is not my native language. The apps could not be installed or the terminal did not run? Alternative you may install iFile app from Cydia replacing MyFile app.In that case you will have to start the terminal with the command [cd /var/mobile/Documents] Did you examined if the files are opened there?

Open MyFile or iFile and tap Documents. If the files was opened correctly you must find there files like (flashplayer or flashplayerdebugger or libflashplayer.so) without extensions. If that happened maybe some additional files or additional commands could help. Flash is working inside the build in player on iPhone. Use iOS Terminal on iPhone.

If the file libflashplayer.so exists on Documents you may use some additional commands. Open a new iOS Terminal and type : [cd /User/Documents], [cp -r libflashplayer.so /User/Library/Safari]. Then go to the file [cd /User/Library/Safari] and last command [chmod 775 libflashplayer.so]. This guide is very possible to succeed on iPad.

You are choosing the long way. I used my p.c. only to download rename and transfer the files to iPhone using WPS Office app, all the other work was on iPhone. You may try the short way, if I understand your own way. Use iOS Terminal on the iPhone.

Mate,
what does this do:
     flashplayerdebugger *.flv

Is this some sort of registering the app to play flv files?
It may work with this:
     flashplayerdebugger *.swf
What do you say, can you explain me what this line does?
Regards

[flashplayer *.flv] prompts all flv videos to use this file.Wrong or right? Maybe someone else could answer. I do not know how to use swf files.
