Adobe Framemaker Book Panel missing chapter list

My book chapter files no longer list under the book file. I used to see a + sign that would expand, but it's no longer there - instead there are 6 dots to the left of my book title. My other books are fine; it's just this one. I feel like I've searched and tried everything. Help would be appreciated. I'm sure I click on something I've never clicked on in 15 years.

Nevermind - figured it out. But if this happens to anyone else, somehow all my book chapters were deleted and therefore the + disappeared because there weren't any files to expand or collapse.

I’m glad to hear that you were able to resolve the issue. You posted your question in the Acrobat community, but your concern is related to Adobe FrameMaker. I will move the conversation to the FrameMaker community so that the experts there can assist you further if needed.

You may also try the following solution: 

To restore your chapters: Open your .book file. Go to File > Add > Files or right-click inside the book window and choose Add File. Browse and re-add the missing chapter files in the correct order. Save the book file again. Once chapter files are added back, the "+" icon will reappear, allowing you to expand/collapse the file list as usual.
