Change Fonts in Docs

New Here ,
Feb 12, 2010 Feb 12, 2010

I have inherited a new project where we do not like the fonts.  I would like to change the fonts on all documents in this project.  What is the best way to do this?

Thank you in advance.

Cathy

Without knowing your version and other environment details...

  1. I'd copy one of the chapters from your target to use as your template file.
  2. Modify the paragraph tags and character tags to your new font(s) -- remember that you can select multiple tags and then apply a new font to all of them using the Global Commands section of the paragraph designer window....
  3. Make sure everything is set up correctly.
  4. In the book file, select all the component files to which you want to make the change. File > Import Formats, specifying your template file as the source.

That should do it.

If you're also changing tag names, look at CleanImport to purge the old catalog info.
