Was the zipped Fm file created with the same (or older) version of Fm, including updates?

Try extracting again, or find another copy of the file.

Correction to the error:  The file WAS opened from with in  zip using Open Outside and WAS opened without error.  That file was updated and saved.  Opening up the file after this update resulted in the error.

If the file was successfully opened in Fm, then saved, you might try importing into a new Fm doc (File > Import > File) and Copy into Document.

If not, you may need to go back to the previous version of the file.

The suggested solution failed.  There is NO previous version of the file available to be opened.

You no longer have access to the ZIP that you got the file from, and you have no backup systems? Then I'm out of ideas.
