I'm willing to bet the answer to this question is no, but...
Can you disable the rollover messages/tags that appear when you mouse-over the various elements/windows in the FrameMaker 10 UI?
I've been using Frame for over 12 years now, and Frame 10 for well over a year and I am very familiar with all of the tools. I don't need to see a message stating "Enter Marker Text" when I mouse over the Marker Text pane -- It's pretty obvious that's what it's for. It's especially a nuisance when I'm trying to format a lengthy Index entry. The problem is, it never disappears as most of these javascript-type messages seem to on web pages and with other applications, and it blocks out the content under it that I'm working on. You have to actually mouse-out/away from the pane or item that triggers the message -- And sometimes, not even then. Minor, I know, but it's really been a nusiance in generating Indexes.
If not, I guess this is one for the "Feature Requests" section.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Regards,
- Chris

Appreciate the tip, but I tried this and it doesn't seem to work... I even went as far as to shut down Frame, and re-launch it. Still have the rollovers. Thanks, tho!

Chris,
Just checked this out in some more detail...
You've just found another glowing example of Adobe's UI design peccadilloes. The tooltips/rollovers get turned off for the buttons and most panels, but not for *some* individual field areas of the panels. I tested a few different panels and they each seem to have their own unique behaviours. Go figure...
So I guess you win the bet...
One tip though, that may make this a bit more tolerable in the Marker panel, is to enter the panel quickly from the buttom, then the rollover text stays outside the marker text area and won't obscure what you're working on.

Arnis,
Thanks a lot for the feedback, and looking into this in greater detail. It's funny that you mention "entering the Marker panel from the bottom...", I just noticed that I could use this as a work-around about 15 minutes ago!
Again, thanks for the help!
