FM 10: Cannote delete paragraphs in (former) MIF documents

With FM 10.0.2.419 it is not possible to delete paragraphs if the document was saved as MIF (even if re-saved as FM again).

Deleting works neither as individual delete ("Delete" and select individual formats to delete) nor by the "delete unused formats" feature.

In the meantime, almost all documents are affected as we use MIF for translation purposes.

With FM 8 or FM 9, I can delete paragraphs from the same MIF files without any problems.

Can anyone help us? Any idea how to make FM 10 delete the paragraphs?

Hi,

I have the same FrameMaker version.

I just created a new FrameMaker file with the default portrait template,

saved it as MIF and opened it again.

Then deleted some paragraph formats and then deleted all unused formats

(via the commend in the paragraph catalogue).

Both work.

I do not know where your problem comes from. However, that's not a general

problem. It must be related to your files.

thanks for testing. The astonishing thing is: I did the procedure with the default portrait template, too.

Therefore I guess the misbehaviour comes from my FM environment or configuration. I'll keep on searching...

In the MIF, at the paragraphs in question, do you happen to see any <PgfLocked Yes> tags?

it just happens: Nothing. No message, no warning...

I also checked the <PgfLocked ...> tags in the MIF file. The paragraph are *not* locked.
