FM keeps changing Pagination and creating unwanted page

Hello all,

I have a two-page title page with Pagination set to Double Sided, Delete Empty Pages, but FM keeps changing Pagination to Make Page Count Odd upon updating the book, which results in a third (unwanted) page. I've tried changing it to Make Page Count Even but this has no effect. However, if I move the title page to the second position (below the LOEP) in the book, it updates correctly and does not create an extra page. Moving the title page back to the top book position results in this (mis)behavior occurring again.

Thanks for the reply. On other projects the title and LOEP were contained in the same file as you described, but on this project they are separate. I managed to somehow correct the problem by this procedure:

  1.  Changed Pagination to Single Sided, Delete Empty Pages
  2. Saved file and book, then re-updated
  3. Changed Pagination back to Double Sided/1st Page Side Right, Make Page Count Even (the original configuration)
  4. Saved file and book, then re-updated

Not sure how or why this worked, but the issue is resolv

Are you putting your cover page and the LOEP in the same file? That is, you want the cover page to be on the obverse (right) side of the page and you want the LOEP to be on the reverse side of the same document?

So you have with this project a real FM book file with 2 or more chapter files in it?

Then, where did make the changes?

When working with a book file and chapter files you MUST do these settings (pagination, numbering) in the book file (right-click on chapter file and then open the settings entry).

Otherwise you run in trouble.

Hi Stephan. Yes, this is a multi-chapter book, and the changes were made in the book file.
