font location?

Some fonts are displaying like garbage in Frame 8 for me. I'm on Win XP. They were fine until I had to reinstall last week and now I'm not sure what setting may have been tweaked. Myriad and Minion look all frazzled and weird, but when I go to PDF they are just fine.

What folder is Frame looking at for fonts? How can I get them to display correctly inside Frame?

I am using Windows XP. My fonts for FM are included in a folder named fonts (C:\Program Files\Adobe\FrameMaker7.2\fminit\fonts).
