I have adjusted the font size for page numbers in adobe framemaker (structured mode) and created a cross reference, but the font size does not change after saving the file. How to fix it?

Hi,

Can you post the cross-reference format?

Is the cross-reference target in the same file? And is the cross-reference resolved?

And did you update the cross-references? Saving the file is not updating.

Best regards, Winfried

To change the font size for the page number you have to change the cross-ref format.

E.g. old:

<$paranum> "<$paratext>" on page\ <$pagenum>

New:

<$paranum> "<$paratext>" on page\ <fontsize><$pagenum><Default ¶ Font>

"fontsize" would be the name of a character format with another font size.

This definitely works. Also when you save the file and re-open it.

The building blocks are explained in the online help.

Those for structured documents are at the bottom:

You have to make changes to the template. When you make changes to an individual document and save it as .xml (or .dita), these changes are lost because when you reopen the file, it uses the appropriate template specified in the structapps.fm file. Here are a couple of videos on my YouTube channel that may be helpful:
