Framemaker 7.0

New Here ,

I am fairly well versed in Frame Maker however, there are several tricks which continue to elude me.

My sticking points are
1. placing anchored frames where I need them
2. creating sequentially numbered figures, with dynamically editable number sequence.
3. some help with graphics, and cross references.

Thank you so much!!

I'd recommend checking out http://wiki.scriptorium.com/tiki-index.php for help - they did write the book ;>)

Where do you need them?

As long as it's not "above current line", there's usually a solution.

3. some help with graphics, and cross references.

That's a trifle vague.

The text goes along and says, “See Figure #x”. It seems to be tied to the caption under the Figure it refers to. Does that help?

Search Google for terms like "FrameMaker autonumbered captions using cross-references tutorials," and "FrameMaker autonumbered paragraphs tutorial," without quotes, for good resources. Google searches these Adobe forums, as well as FrameMaker sites everywhere else.

There was lately a long discussion about that in:

A way to label graphics?

If this forum had a working search engine, you might have found it.

As it is, I had to use Google to rediscover it.

not sure if it is somehow tied to their graphic placement.
