FrameMaker 8 and the DITA Language Reference

One of the nice features of Frame 7.2 was the ability, when authoring in DITA, to select a tag in the Structure view, press ALT + F1 and get the DITA Language Reference to appear at the particular tag you selected.

Is it just me or is this totally missing in 8.0 (I've also got the DITA Open Toolkit Plug-in installed)?

Does anyone know a workaround or if I've gotten something wrong with my setup? (A co-worker is having the same problem with 8.0).

Cheers,
Brian

Hi Brian...

Yes .. unfortunately Adobe neglected to include this feature in FM8. It is available in DITA-FMx ..

http://leximation.com/dita-fmx/

and can also be set up with a little effort by installing our (free) MyHelp plugin ..

http://leximation.com/tools/info/myhelp.php

Unfortunately, we haven't officially updated MyHelp for FM8 yet, but it can be manually installed and should work fine. If you need the manual installer, please contact us off-list.

Cheers,

...scott
