FrameMaker to PDF - JPEG not displaying

I have an existing file that was converted from FM 8 to FM 9. When I generate the PDF using Save as PDF, the image in the file no longer displays. When I use the Print to PDF option, the image displays. I want to use the Save as PDF option to generate the PDF so I it produces bookmarks. I believe it's a settings issue in the Distiller but not sure what to change. I've tried turning off image downsampling and compression but that didn't make a difference.

Anyone have any ideas on this one?

Assuming you have already configured the book's Bookmark settings, so what you want is recorded and generated....

Print the file to the PDF logical printer as you have been doing. On the Frame print dialog box,  activate the Genertae Acrobat Data checkbox.

And make sure the Print To File checkbox is NOT activated.

I do not use the Save as PDF, because in the past at least it has been buggy. Not sure if it works correctly in Version 9.

But you can still get bookmarks user print to PDF, that is print to the Adobe PDF printer. In the Print dialog box, click PDF Setup. In the subsequent dialog box, you can specify which paragraph styles or element to make bookmarks.

Also turn ON the check box in the Links tab and turn OFF the check box in the Tags tab.

Be sure to tell the engineering team -- SaveAsPDF has been a focus of all three FM 9 patches so far, although not the only target

And I haven't heard if the latest one has actually fixed the non-working SaveAsPDF CMYK bug....
