FrameMakers crop mark feature does not work. Offsetting the cropmarks will create bigger pages, rather than moving the marks. Are there scripted solutions for this?
As of now, I shall have to do a very manual method of placing cropmark graphics on master pages.
I reported this error years ago.

If you're running the latest version, then I'd suggest submitting it again in the Tracker (https://tracker.adobe.com/).

Hi Bjørn,
If you can give me an overview of how you are putting the cropmarks on master pages, I may be able to script it for you. Or send me a file off list. Thanks.

Thanks for the offer @frameexpert ! Very kind of you. I gave up and merely imported a graphic with crop marks on all master pages.

When I had to have crop marks, I printed to a PostScript file with a page size larger than the final page size and activated Registration Marks.
Does this work? Or do you need more control?

Yes. @Winfried Reng That is probably what I should have done. The print company I was working with had a lot of very specific requirements for the pdf. which is why I eventually gave up and relied on manual labor 🙂

If you have the full Acrobat product (Pro, DC, not Reader), it can add Printer Marks.

Yes, you would think so. Acrobat can insert print marks, but it seems FrameMaker does not communicate the papers original size, so when Acrobat inserts the printmarks, they end up all over the place. At least that was how I interpreted the situation.

I've had that reported for FM2019 years ago. According to Adobe this should have been fixed with FM2022. The last version which created good, usable and correct print marks was FM2015, apparently.
